WHAT IS GROUND RULES?
Ground Rules is a new independent festival focused on sound system culture, music that makes you wiggle and wild & wacky side quests. Our crew is passionate about raving, and we've spent the last 8 years carefully compiling all of our best raving experiences, so we can pour them all into this festival.
This festival is for the ravers out there who, like us, live and breathe old skool Dance Music.
You might have heard of us through projects like Singularity UK, Da Demolition Squad, Albion Audio or Racket Recordings.
DO YOU DO LOCAL DISCOUNT?
We are doing cheaper tickets for those who are lucky enough to live close to the site! Please email us (shown at the bottom) with proof of address and we will send you a special link.
CAN I BRING MY CAMPER VAN?
Absolutely, you will need to purchase a live-in vehicle pass. Right here!
CAN I PARK AT THE FESTIVAL?
Of course, we encourage car sharing to reduce your environmental impact, and you’ll also have to purchase a parking ticket - you can grab that from the same link as live in vehicles. One car parking pass per car (not per person).
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO GET THERE WITHOUT MY OWN VEHICLE?
Corby is the closest train station to the site, it’s an 8 minute drive away. We suggest splitting a cab from the station with mates. Either way, it’ll be cheap!
WILL CASH BE AVAILABLE ON SITE?
Traders and bars will accept cash payments, there will not be a cash machine onsite.
CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL ONTO THE CAMPSITE?
Yes, but not the whole cornershop! Each person is allowed ONE of the following:
A crate of beer or cider (12 tins)
A bottle of spirit decanted into a plastic bottle
A box of wine
Absolutely no bloody glass anywhere!!!! As a small festival, bar sales are an important stream of income. We’ve made sure drinks are very reasonably priced too!
WHAT IS THE AGE RESTRICTION?
This is an 18+ festival, if you’re lookin a lil young (Challenge 25 in place) don’t be offended if we ask for ID, enjoy the fact you’re radiating youthfulness!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Well here’s the obvious: tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, clothes, water bottle, snacks and drinks.
We also encourage you to bring: sports stuff (frisbees, footballs etc), games, instruments, costumes, funny signs/flags, water guns, your finest accessories, flyers (we 100% encourage you to promote yo shit!!). The only limit is your imagination (and the law).
WHAT SHOULD I NOT BRING WITH ME?
Anything stupid… And please:
NO GLASS
NO ILLEGAL DRUGS
NO FIREWORKS
NO GAS COOKERS
CAN I COOK AT THE FESIVAL?
For fire safety reasons in line with our license, we can’t allow gas hobs, our traders can give you free hot water for pot noodles and other ready meals. If you want to play Master Chef, sorry but this isn’t the best place. Of course, we got some fantastic and delicious food traders set up for your taste buds to enjoy.
WILL YOU HAVE VEGGIE + VEGAN OPTIONS?
Of course, #growupandgovegan. Oh, and there will be a salad bar!
